Many of the Christmas cards of the 1920s and 1930s strived to evoke the most influential design movement of that era - Art Deco.

The cards in this set are Art Deco, but their imagery is quite old fashioned, depicting fairytale houses with exaggeratedly tall and pointed roofs, ladies in hoop skirts and horse-drawn carriages.
