Noah's Ark
Designed by Patience Brewster as part of her KRINKLES collection - Noah's Ark the complete set includes all 13 pieces - the Ark and all the guests, details about the items are listed below. Great opportunity to collect the entire set. Ark itself is 9 x 11.5" - all made of resin and beautifully hand painted. This set is new from Dept 56.
Description from boxed items: Our ark, from its brightly colored wading boots to the umbrella, is prepared for the torrential rain and subsequent flood! Prime spots have been taken by the buffaloes and the giraffes. Shaker shingles top the animal barn, whimsical trees, which will provide fodder for the animals, plus stars and a crescent moon complete the look! Even Noah's rain clouds came in pairs! These white, puffy, fluffy clouds complete with rain drops are distinguishable only by their foot gear: hers are knee high sky blue waders and his are ankle high construction boots. Dressed and ready to embark on their sojourn, our duck couple make a fashion statement: Red and green ribbon are used for his bow-tie and the band on his tall hat. Greenery tops his hat, wraps around his neck and trims the tops of his shoes. Matching his bow-tie, she has her ribbon securing a floral "bonnet" with a bow tied under her bill. A "pearl" necklace with a ruby red broach dresses up her outfit as do her high-heel shoes trimmed in pearls. Like all genteel traveling ladies, our elephant lady is appropriately dressed for the trek. She has donned a white blanket trimmed with delicate roses in full bloom, white slipper-like foot gear and a travel bonnet both trimmed with pink roses as well. A bit more demure, our bull elephant is wearing laced dress shoes, a white brimmed top-hat trimmed in greenery. Raising blue banners tipped with green sprigs, our fish are ready to take their place in line to board their "cruise-ship"! He is dressed in mariner blue with sea-foam green accents and sporting a red glittered bow-tie while she is in all green accented by two red ribbons and bows. Bearing a banner of "Peace", our white doves, she with pink ballet slippers and he in his "roaring twenties" black and white spats have lighted upon leaved branches. His neck is encircled with greenery and hers sports a red bow. Dressed in their finest, one might say that these pigs are not farmers rather city slickers. They are wearing matching yellow outfits both trimmed with red and white stripes. She is wearing red low-heel dress shoes and a head band, tied under her chin with a big bow, topped with a fir-tree while he has spit-shined his hooves and dressed up his outfit with a bow-tie and spectacles. The rains have stopped, the flood has subsided and greeting Noah and his hand picked passengers is the brilliant, radiant, warming sun topped with a star offering a green branch.
